Drift Practise Day at Mondello Park
Today, I headed out with Eric, Amy G and Karl to Mondello Park for an open drift practise day.
We were extremely limited to where we could shoot from, not being allowed outside of the pit area, but here are some shots from the day.
Pit area. Eric's F20C powered AE86, and Amy G's RX7.

The AE86 cockpit.....all business. Definitely not the type of car you would be happy DD'ing to work every day........hmm, wait, maybe?

This is the first time Eric has been able to drive the car since the 2008 RedBull World Championships. Still has the window banner from the event in place.

New kevlar-enforced front and rear overs have been added, and the whole car got a fresh black spray tan for the summer.

The weather conditions were true to Irish summer standards, with wind, rain and bright sunshine throughout the day, leaving the track with varying levels of grip on each lap. Made for some interesting passenger rides, thats for sure. Here are some of the shots I was able to get from our pit area:

I think this last picture is pretty fitting, seeing the car is running Honda S2000 running gear.

Amy G was ripping her RX7 too:

All in all, a successful day. Im looking forward to heading back to Mondello in early September to shoot the next round of Prodrift.
Cheers,
SPUd
